Wednesday, June 3, whoever believes in me will never die.

Rainbow at the Pleasant Hill Preserve

The Holy Spirit inspired our blog.

Memorial of Saint Charles Lwanga and Companions, Martyrs

I am the resurrection and the life, says the Lord; whoever believes in me will never die.

Emphasis mine: John 11:25a, 26

This past year has been full of many changes, and I for one love it.  Life is change, and for me embracing change makes life much richer.

One problem seniors and many others have is they want their life to stay as it is, and this is not healthy.  If life were perfect then there would be no need for change, but as you all know life is far from perfect and this has been true since the fall of Adam and Eve.

When the Holy Spirit arrived The Holy Spirit became a real game changer, for those who embrace the Holy Spirit.

Read Acts, and see how men who ran from the Cross, are empowered by The Holy Spirit to stand up and proclaim a risen Christ, and they started converting all who would take the time to learn about the Triune God, and how our God can truly change their lives.

Believing Jesus rose from the dead involves a relationship with the Holy Spirit, at least this has been my experience, and as I am sure you all know I am not a Theologian, but one who has seen his life change from jealousy, anger, wanting to get ahead, winning, to mention a few traits, to wanting to do the will of my Father, imitating my Brother, while He lived on this earth.

And,

You all should know by this time what the next line will be,  and that is,

Because I have found a new life filled with Love, Joy and Peace, a life unknown to me before I started praying the “Nine,” Fruit of the Holy Spirit.

And as we discussed two weeks ago, the Joy continues in Purgatory and is second only to the Joy in Heaven.

All of this has occurred in my, now our, life because I embraced change, and when the Holy Spirit encouraged me to learn and pray the “Nine,” my life changed in a way I could never have imagined, and frankly I never want to go back, and Yes I, and we, want to keep changing

Because

whoever believes in me will never die.

Prayer:

If you want to grow in Love, Joy and Peace this is a result of growth in Patience, Kindness, Generosity, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control.

Sidebar:

Every year since we have been writing our blog, I decided to read what we wrote in the prior years.  This has been a Joy, because I truly forget after a blog has been published, what we wrote about in prior blogs.

We would like to make a few notes about our blogs.

The first paragraph of the blog assigns credit to The Holy Spirit, if the Holy Spirit doesn’t give me the words, I don’t type.

It’s that simple.

On the covers of all our books we have in large print inspired by The Holy Spirit and this is very important because I believe we are one of only a few authors who give the entire credit for their work to The Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit was a game changer for the Apostles and the Holy Spirit is a game changer for me, and we pray that maybe by reading our blogs, which I believe the Holy Spirit is encouraging you to do, you will also see a change in your life, and have the same experience I have had.  I won’t go back to the person I was before I started embracing the Spirit of Truth.

I, and I should say we, only want to go forward and that process has taken over eight-five years.

People have written me and and said they wish they could be where I am, and our reply is this has taken eight-five years,

But

If you learn from what we have written, you can accelerate the process,

And

You learn by praying every day the suggested prayers we have made available to all of our readers, every day without fail and you WILL see a very positive change in your life, and this, if you think about it, is quite a promise.

By the way this has been tested for over thirty years in the jail, ( I just learned yesterday from a man who said he was facing prison, is being released next week, and this all occurred because he did as we asked, and prayed the prayers we asked him to pray).

Our blog has come a long way; from our writing and our pictures, to your pictures, to making available our prayers, to the calling cards, which many have sent envelopes to obtain, and lastly asking your opinion about what you saw in a picture.

None of these were my idea, and this is where the Joy comes in, and when you respond, through a comment or a request, or a picture, I pray you experience the same Joy I experience.

And

The Joy tells you you are dancing in a Celestial Dance with a God of Outrageous Love.

You didn’t know this until now, but after the end of the first draft, I have always said, “Wow I didn’t see any of what we wrote before we wrote it.”  and I laugh, a laugh of Joy, and sadness because the first draft is always the most Joyful.

Prayer Request:

Gail, my wife of fifty-nine years, is having a heart valve replacement on June 11, The surgery is the least invasive of the options available it’s called a Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement TAVR (prayers answered) and I am asking if you will take a moment to pray for a successful outcome.  Thank you.

Photographed this full rainbow at Pleasant Hill Preserve late afternoon on Mother’s Day. They say that a full rainbow is a powerful symbol of hope, good luck and new beginnings. It represents overcoming adversity, divine protection and a positive sign to trust your life’s path, spiritual journey. Love, joy and peace. Amen
