The Holy Spirit inspired our blog.

Memorial of Saint Catherine of Siena, Virgin and Doctor of the Church

I am the light of the world, says the Lord;

whoever follows me will have the light of life.

What most of you don’t know is I have been away at our annual Guy’s Golf in Atlanta Georgia.

We mention this because when I sat down at the keyboard  to write the blog at first I felt different because I had not had the intimate relationship with my Father, I normally have every week writing our blog.  So, I prayed, “Where do we go?”

My prayer was instantly answered, but it took me a moment to realize the answer to the prayer.

Monday night we answered the comments we received from our readers the past Thursday, and Pip from England wrote telling me he prayed the “Nine” every day.

I wish I had asked him if he had seen a difference in his life, and the second question, would he go back to the person he was before praying the “Nine?”

Now we have.

It’s very interesting to me how much men and women will go out of their way to be different via hair styles, clothes, cars, the way they walk, you name it, we all try to be different and unique.

But

If you really want to stand out in our world today, be filled with JOY.

But

That requires growing in your love of God the Father, Son and The Holy Spirit,  by imitating his Son and listening to the whisper of the Holy Spirit, and doing the Will of God The Father for the GLORY of God The Father, as an obedient son or daughter.

Easy!

But

Far too many chose to listen to satan, and you can easily identify satan in our press, movies, T.V. who constantly remind us of the ills of our society.

Turn it off!

And

Turn on GOD!

And

whoever follows me will have the light of life.

Prayer:

If you want to grow in Love, Joy, and Peace this is a result of growth in Patience, Kindness, Generosity, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.

A few thoughts:

First:

A new reader wrote to remind me that we have run the same Prayer for two weeks in a row.

We are doing this on purpose, because maybe this week The Holy Spirit will encourage you (and The Holy Spirit did encourage Pip from England,  when I don’t know) to learn and pray this powerful prayer from this point on.

Every month we get one or two requests for our Prayers or the cards, and this for me, yes me this is a high.

Second:

As we mentioned earlier, I returned Sunday from participating in the Prince Family Guy’s Golf Tournament.

We now have twelve participants, 1 eight-five, me, 2 in their seventies, 3 in their fifties, 2 in their forties, 2 in their thirties, and 2 in their twenties, with Andre’, David’s son, joining at age 21 (our minimum age) a 64 year difference in ages.

I arrived home pooped, but filled with Joy, looking forward to next year,

AND,

With no practice this year, except hitting 40 balls at a driving range, we  played some of our ( remember I include God in our golf games) best golf. “Thank you Father”

What we really wanted to talk about was the care and love all of the others showed me.  Everyone showed me this love.

At first, a few years ago, I resented it. I, yes I, am not feeble.  Then the Holy Spirit reminded me how blessed I, and I will include Gail, are to have a family that wants us with them, and is looking out for our safety.

I ended the weekend in conscious tears of Joy for what occurred over the Guy’s Golf weekend.

I AM BLESSED, and the great thing is I know it and Love it.

Third:

Lastly, our oldest son sent me this clip from The Chosen, which for me is very powerful, entitled “It would have been enough.”  Enjoy:

I started our blog wondering what we were going to write about, and I am thrilled with Joy how fast this came together.

“Thank you Father!”
