The Holy Spirit inspired our blog.
Friday of the Twenty-fourth Week in Extraordinary Time
Jesus journeyed from one town and village to another,
preaching and proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God.
Accompanying him were the Twelve
and some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities,
Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,
Joanna, the wife of Herod’s steward Chuza,
Susanna, and many others
who provided for them out of their resources.
Emphasis mine: Luke 8: 1-3
Bob is fine, his computer went down and he can’t get it fixed. Soooooooooo The Holy Spirit volunteered me to fill in for this week.
How many times in your life did you not realize God was acting in your life?
The above reading shows this perfectly.
Women who traveled with Jesus and provided for them out of their resources.
We would suggest this is happening in your life also and if you’re like me and you fail to connect the dots and recognize what is happening, God acting in your life through others, you lose the Joy of knowing God has your back.
Never forget: We are God’s Hands, Feet, Eyes, Ears , Money, and Voice. We are here to do the will of God the Father in Loving ( Helping Others) our neighbor.
Example: when I took David, our middle son, to Paul Smith’s college, they had a demonstration of a truck that could pick up logs and place them somewhere else. The man standing beside me, I quickly learned, was a teacher at the school, (The Holy Spirit working in my life) and I told him, “if you want my son in this school, you’ll put him in that truck.” He listened and did as we asked, and Dave went to Paul Smiths and flourished.
I now believe, after reflecting on the above reading, that God had the right teacher standing next to me, (because he and David became close friends) just as God had the women with Jesus to support His ministry.
Also,
Never forget Mark 6: 7-13, Jesus sent the twelve disciples out two by two with nothing and for a period of time they had to rely on the generosity of the people they met to survive, and survive they did.
I am almost eight-six years old, and I just realized this.
Wow, I love writing these blogs.
I thank God for Bob’s broken computer, AND The Holy Spirit telling me to fill in, because I would never have spent the time to reflect on this topic had his computer not broken down. I also pray it is a cheap fix.
I’m pumped! Thank you Father!
