There’s a lot to learn in today’s scriptures about how to address other people’s sins. Both of the readings are very powerful. God the Father corrected Job in no uncertain terms in the first reading: “Have you ever in your lifetime commanded the morning and shown the dawn its place?”
Do Not Despise One of These Little Ones
Job said in today’s first reading for Mass: “Pity me, pity me, O you my friends, for the hand of God has struck me! Why do you hound me as though you were divine, and insatiably prey upon me?” It sounds like Job’s friends were pretty cruel and they treated him like almost like bullies do in school.
