Wednesday of the Twenty-second Week in Extraordinary Time
Brothers and sisters,
I could not talk to you as spiritual people,
but as fleshly people, as infants in Christ.
I fed you milk, not solid food,
because you were unable to take it.
Indeed, you are still not able, even now,
for you are still of the flesh.
While there is jealousy and rivalry among you,
are you not of the flesh, and walking
according to the manner of man?
Whenever someone says, “I belong to Paul,” and another,
“I belong to Apollos,” are you not merely men?
What is Apollos, after all, and what is Paul?
Ministers through whom you became believers,
just as the Lord assigned each one.
I planted, Apollos watered, but God caused the growth.
Therefore, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything,
but only God, who causes the growth.
He who plants and he who waters are one,
and each will receive wages in proportion to his labor.
For we are God’s co-workers;
you are God’s field, God’s building.

I read the first reading and with a major change felt it applied to us.
We, with our blog, plant and if you are encouraged by the Holy Spirit, have read our blog, and then God takes over from there.
We then are a catalyst, one of many different catalysts to your growth in your love of the Triune God.
We receive comments from readers on how the blog hit home that week with them.
Question?
Since I don’t know you and what you’re facing, how could I, yes I, write a blog that hits home with you?
I Can’t!
It only happens when the Holy Spirit nudges you just as the Holy Spirit nudges me to write, and you to read and apply our blog to your life. Those who have, reported a change in their lives and have reported that they are filled with Joy as they grow with God.
And when satan knocks on your door to try and get you not to read and apply what we have written, simply pray, “Jesus for you.” This was a quote from Sunsets, by Robin Jones Gunn in the book Daily Meditations for Christians by Rebecca Hastings, chapter 365.
I just learned this prayer today ( Talk about timing – The Holy Spirit working in my life) and I love it! It forces me to smile instantly, and we all know what that means.

If you want to grow in Love, Joy, Peace this is a result of growth in Patience, Kindness, Generosity, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control.

Dr. Gray said after St. John saw the Ark of the covenant, there was lightning and then he saw Mary with Child and Mary IS THE NEW ARK of the Covenant –
Wow, I had never put these two thoughts together, because they’re in different chapters, and pages, the last verse in chapter 11 and the first verse in chapter 12 .
Dr. Tim Gray 8/20/26 Idols and the heart
Dr. Gray defined an idol as a desire of the heart for something that will satisfy ME that is NOT God.
This definition I wrote down, and Dr. Gray hit the nail on the head. I can have a desire for a new car, better health, more money, and having that desire while excluding God doesn’t help anything.
As we reported a few blogs ago, I read the Prayer for Humility, and was convicted for being a person who totally lacked humility and ever since that day, I have prayed this powerful prayer, and I am seeing changes in my life that I embrace. If you want a copy send an email to me.
