Our blog is inspired by the Holy Spirit.

 Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.

Shout joyfully to God, all the earth,

sing praise to the glory of his name;

proclaim his glorious praise.

Say to God, “How tremendous are your deeds!”

Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.

“Let all on earth worship and sing praise to you,

sing praise to your name!”

Come and see the works of God,

his tremendous deeds among the children of Adam.

 Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.

He has changed the sea into dry land;

through the river they passed on foot;

therefore let us rejoice in him.

He rules by his might forever.

Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.

Psalm 66:1-3a, 4-5, 6-7a

We are now in the Third week of Easter, and the theme for the past two weeks is Joy.

Why Joy?

satan has been defeated at the Battle of Golgithar, and a new world has been established.

You and I know this, but a few weeks ago, I was watching The Chosen, and as I watched, I was reminded by the show that Jesus started each day with a short prayer of praise.

I had observed this before, but the Holy Spirit suggested I, we say a prayer of praise at the start of each day.

The prayer we choose to say is,

“This is the  day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad.”

Over the past few weeks, I have been rejoicing at the start of the day, and starting the day, rejoicing has been and is making a difference.

When you start rejoicing the day at the start, it doesn’t give satan as easy a chance to make the day something not worth rejoicing about.

When you start proclaiming God as active in your life, you begin proclaiming His tremendous deeds in your life now.

All you have to do is thank God for all They have done for you.

Easy,

Hard,

Easy because once you see God active in your life, it becomes easier to rejoice and be glad.

Hard because if you let satan take over at the start of the day, then there is nothing to rejoice about, and the day becomes a slog.

Many of us in our society have thrown God under the bus and are living in the “world.”

All you have to do is look at what is happening now in our society.  We had another mass shooting, and everyone is screaming for a new law.

Well, laws don’t work!

The change that has to take place is getting God back in our lives by loving God with our whole heart, mind, body, and neighbor as ourselves.

Let all the earth cry out to God with joy, and I believe you will see a fundamental change in our society.

If you want to join Team Jesus, pray. Thank you, Father, for the difficulties (Name the difficulty……………) you have ALLOWED in my life; I know you will take care of me.  Pray this until you smile, and that smile tells you, you are back with the Holy Spirit living in the “Spirit World.”

Sidebar:

We had a very interesting week in the Cumberland County jail last week.

First, four men were baptized, and another man asked Rev. Jeff to Baptise him.

Wow!

The Joy they reflected said volumes to us.  We reminded them that satan is not quitting because they are now baptized; if anything, satan will try even harder to get them back.

Satan lost; God won.

To drive this point home even further, we had a man who was out only four days and is back in jail again,

Why?

Drug abuse.

We asked him whether he believed he could leave the jail, not change anything, and expect that everything would be different.  If you are walking out of jail, doing the will of satan, what will keep you from not returning to jail?

He thought about it and agreed, and I believe he was thankful for being in the Bible study and learning of a new life, life in the “Spirit World.”

Sam, who we have mentioned in prior blogs, showed up in the dumps, satan because he was mad, satan at all he lost becoming a Christan.

Sam felt that everything should be roses since his life is now aligned with God.

 The Holy Spirit called to mind St. Paul, and in today’s Mass, Paul has set out to persecute the Christians.

Paul, as you will recall, was very proficient at his persecution of the Christians, and God used Paul’s hatred for the Christians to make Paul one of the greatest Christians ever born.

Strange how God works and the people God uses to deliver his message.

And our last surprise was eight or nine men who showed up for the Bible Study.

Up until now, we have had two to four men.  John Kiernan and I left, walking on air again.

“This is the  day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad.”
