I was rushing late to work as usual .. and made myself a healthy bowl of oats and cranberries to take a bite and face the most excruciating pain ever in my mouth! I had encountered my worst nightmare … a toothache!
So I did the most obvious next step, visited the dentist and was told “extraction required “… and my night mare came to life..I was so uneasy and anxious on the days leading up to the surgery.. I couldnt get a good nights sleep.. I missed my mother more than ever …
I finally would sit up in my room and say the rosary!! shut my eyes tight and pray hard and furiously for strength and lo and behold I could feel the peace and calm settle in and then get decent sleep.
And the D day arrived and when I he said … “open your mouth ” everything seemed to blur in the background… I gave in to the dentist with complete surrender…with complete trust that he wont hurt me!!
Today Jesus calls us to open our hearts.. one which is riddled full of stress , anxiety and worst.. sinfulness!!! Everyday we fall trap to the perils of the world and forget that the Lord is there to guide us! All we need to do is open our hearts and surrender with complete trust as we do in humans .. and focus on being a good human!
Harder than we think it is?! Sometimes the snarky comment, the lies, the lustful thoughts just cloud our judgement and we tend to deviate from what we are supposed to do to what feels right… let us have the courage to open our hearts and believe in His word!
PRAYER: Help me Lord to have faith in you! I apologies for not having trust in your ways and worrying . Help me and guide me to do better every day and lay my faith in you! Amen.
