Turn to the Lord in your need, and you will live.

I woke up to last Sunday messages on my high school group , that a very dear classmate and intelligent young man passed away that morning! He had some ailment and was undergoing treatment for the same when he passed away. It broke my heart. He was a gem! A genuine human and absolute sweetheart. I dont think anyone would have a bad word to say about him ever!

I went to church the following day cause I was so uneasy and had free time, I needed my Lord to help me fathom this heartache. I knew the church had English mass at evenings so I drove to the church to realise that was the very last day of service in English! I am glad and heart broken but I know I have to find a service where I can find my Lord!

Sitting there all upset and stressed after work, I surrendered my woes to the Lord. I sang out loud all the hymns of praise and received the Eucharist and walked out calm and that night I slept like a baby!

We often forget how mortal we are and how short our lives are on this earth. We are quick to judge and vent out opinions but we often forget that we receive all our hope and blessings through the Lord. While I sat and pondered over the reflection and short sermon – all I wanted was to just be in His presence.

I forgot how a prayer and surrender can help me grow so much into finding my inner peace and let me out of the drama of the worldly stuff. We all need those 5 minutes of prayer – silence !not a church .. maybe in the car or cab or tube! maybe a walk when one can contemplate our life and the scripture!

Let us turn to God more often and start sharing our life with Him. good or bad -happy or sad !

AMEN.
