The Holy Spirit inspired our blog.

Wednesday of the Fourteenth Week in Extraordinary Time

Jesus summoned his Twelve disciples

and gave them authority over unclean spirits to drive them out

and to cure every disease and every illness.

The names of the Twelve Apostles are these:

first, Simon called Peter, and his brother Andrew;

James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John;

Philip and Bartholomew,

Thomas and Matthew the tax collector;

James, the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus;

Simon the Cananean, and Judas Iscariot

who betrayed Jesus.

Jesus sent out these Twelve after instructing them thus,

“Do not go into pagan territory or enter a Samaritan town.

Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.’”  Emphasis mine   Matthew 10: 1-7

Wow!!

I just noticed the word IS.  The Kingdom of Heaven IS at hand.  The Kingdom of Heaven didn’t leave when Jesus ascended into Heaven,

No

The Kingdom IS here and IS now if we chose to live in it.  That to me right now as we are typing the first draft of our blog is a thought I have never fully considered, and once again I am blown away by the words.

Yes, we can live in a world with lots and lots of problems, and the Kingdom of Heaven is NOT in your life right now,

Or,

You can choose to live in the Fruit of the Holy Spirit and be filled with Love, Joy, Peace, because you’re doing the will of your Father, and be in an entirely different world. The Spirit of Truth World.

Recently we talked about Purgatory and how the suffering is created because you have met Jesus, and want to be with them, but in Purgatory, you will be filled with a Joy that is only exceeded by the Joy you will experience in Heaven.

And,

In Purgatory there is no satan.  Now is the only time in our eternal existence we will be challenged by satan.

Joy is created by Love.

Joy on earth can either be a very short period of time, or last for a long time, your choice.  Do your Father’s will by imitating Jesus, and be filled with Joy – Joy even while being Crucified! That should convince you that Joy is that Powerful, and yet we choose to believe satan that all of this just isn’t true.

And,

satan is very easy to identify.

NO JOY!

Live       “The Kingdom of heaven is at hand” now!

Prayer:

If you want to grow in Love, Joy, Peace this is a result of growth in Patience, Kindness, Generosity, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control.

Sidebar:

Don’t go judging the Almighty by your own understanding.  We’re rarely given eyes to see the whole of what He’s doing in our lives or through us.  That’s why we are called to walk by Faith not by sight.  Chapter 319 God’s Understanding. Daily Meditations for Christians

We read a chapter in this book every night, or at least we did until this past week, when I fell off of the wagon.  I couldn’t figure out why, and now I know.

Steve:

We mentioned Steve in our June 24 blog, and how he was there at the exact moment I needed someone to pull me out of a very deep hole.

Steve and I discussed this for an hour, the next Wednesday we met, and after that Steve sent me the following email:

As I drove to NJ I was thinking about what guided me to put my hand on yours at that exact moment.   God sends us to a place and he takes over from there.

I am sure you have forgotten, and that’s ok, but this all started four years ago, and now a few days ago when I read the above reading in God’s Understanding. Daily Meditations for Christians, which was just before we were to write this week’s blog.

And,

When I read this I knew this would be the Sidebar for this week.

How awesome is that!

Steve and I have both been blessed two weeks ago to see God active in our life, and we are both blessed that God chose us to be participants in Gail’s operation and recovery.  Filled with Joy, we both responded to the whisper of The Holy Spirit, and I believe we are both eager to experience this again, sooner rather than later.

In fact, I just have, when I read the above quote, and then we typed the first draft of our blog.

Look carefully at the events that are in your life now, and look for God in EVERY EVENT that happens in your life.

Your Father, Brother and the Holy Spirit are NOT part time gods, They are FULL Time GODS!

They desire to be in your life on a full time basis.

Do you have the same desire?

That’s why we are called to walk by Faith not by sight
