Friday June 12th, The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

Know then that the Lord your God is God indeed, the faithful God who is true to his covenant and his graciousness for a thousand generations towards those who love him and keep his commandments, but who punishes in their own persons those that hate him.

Isn’t nice to be loved?

At the end of my daily Rosary I say prayers including, “Sacred Heart of Jesus pray for us, Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.” As humans we experience many types of love. Love of country, Love of Sports. Parental love. Romantic love. Parental love. Sibling love. Love for one another. Today well celebrate the love emanating from the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Sometimes, I don’t feel loved. I will have a verbal fight with my lovely wife. I may have received a big credit card bill. I may argue with a neighbor over a parking space. I may not get along with someone at work. Life is complicated, but God is not.

We however are the ones that make ourselves unlovable by our sinful lives. It can happen in an instant when a temper will flair or an unkind word is said. Moses said to the people: ‘You are a people consecrated to the Lord your God; it is you that the Lord our God has chosen to be his very own people out of all the peoples on the earth. When scripture tells us, that God is love.

My dear people, Let us love one another since love comes from God and everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God. Anyone who fails to love can never have known God, because God is love.

Believe it!

Stop and appreciate how loved you are. Jesus gave His life for you. Yes, you may not feel it now or today. You may be suffering from a wicked divorce, a financial loss or depression. Remember you are loved. It may be the only love you have now, but if you live your life and obey the commandments, God will provide. There will be a greater love tomorrow and when your story of life is written, it will be the greatest.

God Love You Always
