MONDAY OF THE 23RD WEEK OF ORDINARY TIME, YEAR C FEAST OF THE NATIVITY OF THE BVM

Today, we celebrate the Feast of Mary’s birth (nativity).

Today’s feast of the BVM recalls Mary’s role in accepting her part in the story of salvation.

God has blessed Mary above all other children of mankind, because Mary herself would become the bearer of the Savior, the Son of God Himself.

As the bearer of the New Covenant of God, the New Ark of the Covenant, Mary must be hallowed and set aside much as the New Ark of the Covenant.

The Church believes and teaches that Mary has been conceived without the taint of original sin. She is the Immaculate Conception.

By the singular grace of God granted to Mary, sin was kept away from corrupting her.

Today, we rejoice at Mary’s birthday celebration, marking the moment that after she had been conceived without sin in the womb of her mother, St. Anne, the bearer of the world’s salvation was finally shown to the world at last.

Today, we honor, respect, venerate, and praise Mary on her total obedience to God and complete love for the Lord.

She is indeed, ‘Full of Grace’.

Mary, our loving Mother is the perfect role model for each and every one of us to follow in becoming good and faithful disciples of our Lord.

May Mary continue to intercede for us all her children, all sinners in need of God’s mercy and forgiveness.

Have a wonderful week
