Remember the presence of Jesus in us is alive and needs to be nourished just the way our life in human form needs to be nourished by food. Can you help me with an issue regarding the Eucharist? If God already exists in our souls and is literally a ‘part of us;’ then why is it necessary to take Eucharist as well? If Jesus is in the ‘body’ as God or the Triune; do we still need the Eucharist as well–and if so why?? Just wondering as this issue sort of came upon me recently after reading a book by St. Augustine. Thanks!!!
