As I’m pretty sure I’ve noted in the past, not every aspect of the Faith touches everyone equally. (Heaven knows I find myself nodding off by some bits that others find deeply fulfilling.) If you find yourself bored by a reflection — quite possible! — then perhaps it’s a sign that God wants you to delve deeper into the readings and find a truth that’s meaningful to you.

As an aside, if I am boring, I know I’m at least in good company; listening to the Apostle Paul was such a snooze-fest, someone fell asleep while Paul was speaking, falling out a window and dying. (Paul took it as an opportunity to prove the power of the Spirit, laying across him and restoring him to life; see Acts 20: 7-12.)
