Wednesday of the Second Week of Easter
There broke out a severe persecution of the Church in Jerusalem,
and all were scattered
throughout the countryside of Judea and Samaria,
except the Apostles.
Devout men buried Stephen and made a loud lament over him.
Saul, meanwhile, was trying to destroy the Church;
entering house after house and dragging out men and women,
he handed them over for imprisonment.
Now those who had been scattered went about preaching the word.
Thus Philip went down to the city of Samaria
and proclaimed the Christ to them.
With one accord, the crowds paid attention to what was said by Philip
when they heard it and saw the signs he was doing.
For unclean spirits, crying out in a loud voice,
came out of many possessed people,
and many paralyzed and crippled people were cured.
There was great joy in that city. Emphasis mine Acts 8:1b-8

There was great Joy in the city. We would suggest with Jonathan there is greater Joy within him because he took the step of NOT listening to satan, asked for the prayers, kept at it, and noted a change in his life.
Jonathan now has an interesting problem, that being, he can’t be fooled by satan that the prayers don’t work.
The above reading talks about a whole city changing which is very impressive,
But,
Not everyone in the city changed.
Jonathan changed in his world, a new world has been established, and he now has the tools to continue to keep the changes happening.
The great news is Jonathan controls his future, or should we say his NOW. Never forget, God is a God of Now, I AM, Not, I was, or I will be, so if Jonathan is filled with Joy and Peace NOW he is living fully in The Holy Spirit.
satan will attack, but the longer Jonathan lives with I AM the less satan can convince him that he, satan, offers a better choice, and as we type this I think Jonathan now knows he has the better deal.
The people in the city saw signs and wonders, people were healed, unclean spirits thrown out, but how about a year from now? Will they remember what God did for them? I’m not so sure. Ask yourself a question: How many times has God worked in your life, and a few days later, you were back being the same person you were before God worked in your life?
I for one plead very guilty!
It wasn’t until my back was financially against the wall, and I, yes I, couldn’t see any way out of my, yes my problems, that I discovered Peace. An odd time to discover Peace, but as it is with God, God’s timing is always exquisite.
When I discovered Peace I also discovered I only wanted more and over time this evolved as I kept saying the prayers, and this is why I think Jonathan is ahead of the people in the city. They were healed, there was no effort on their part, unclean spirits were thrown out, once again no real effort on their part. They needed Faith, but no real effort on their part. Jonathan is putting in the time and effort and is seeing Remarkable Improvement (his words) because of his efforts to change his life from listening to satan to listening to The Holy Spirit and living with The Spirit of Truth.
Fact: The more time spent with the Spirit of Truth, the less time satan has to try and get you to listen to him.
Prayer:
If you want to grow in Love, Joy, and Peace this is a result of growth in Patience, Kindness, Generosity, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.

We had requests today for the calling cards, which really pumped me up.
Why?
Because as we said last week, if you see a change in your life why wouldn’t you want to tell someone else?
I am the type of person if I find something that makes my life easier I, no we, tell others.
You know this is true.
In our blogs, we talked about China Jel. If we see something on Youtube that could help someone we tell you about it.
Why?
Because when someone like Jonathan writes to share that his life has changed because of what we wrote, this is a high, a JOY, and I enJoy more Joy.
I also hope you notice how much our blog has changed over the past three-plus years.
We started with a blog, our words, and that was it.
Next, The Holy Spirit suggested we show some of my pictures, this expanded to asking you to send us your pictures and they have been beautiful.
And,
For three-plus years, we have NEVER run out, I thought a couple of times we would but pictures always showed up. The Holy Spirit working in your life.
Next, we offered prayers you could get by emailing me for the prayers, we average three to four requests a month. Love it!
Next, we printed some of your comments when they testified to how your life changed and your life became better. That’s what we all want, isn’t it?
A better life!
And,
Lastly or who knows, if this is the last change, I hope not, we are offering you calling cards that you can get from us or print yourself to tell others the good news that there is Joy and Peace available NOW in a VERY DARK WORLD for those willing to take a leap of Faith and learn and say the Nine Fruit of The Holy Spirit daily.
When Bill Winters asked us, The Holy Spirit and me, if we would write a weekly blog, who knew what this would evolve into, NOT ME! And this is why I love working with The Holy Spirit, it’s like nothing I have ever experienced in my eighty-four years of life.

Jim is an ex neighbor and didn’t say anything more than what he wrote. I can’t figure out if the people before the cross are real or statues. I emailed Jim and he responded they are statues. WOW!!!! I have always loved the churches in Europe.
