Joe, unprecedented you say? Read about the Spanish/swine flu of 1918. At the time 1/4 of the world population died - 500 million people.
Mankind with their "Infamous seperior knowledge" can no longer accept any type of "natural cleanse" of our gene pool.
Infections - throw antibiotics at them until the antibiotics grow resistant to the bacteria it's supposed to kill.
Flu - get inoculated.
Cancer - find a cure.
Etc, Etc, Etc.......
Find us a problem we can't fix so says science.
And when our world becomes over populated, we'll just abort out of the womb - and to old, euthanasia.
"Do not be afraid" "Fear not". Sound familiar?
If not, how about
Matthew 24: 1-28.
Come on folks, ready your soul. Your salvation will be when you pass from this life.
BTW, I need to go to confession myself.

Thank you for sharing. Yes, so true! This is happening during lent and our president said yesterday that he would love for us to “try” and restart our nation on Easter because Easter is such a special day to many of us. Regardless whether or not we are able to at that time, it is refreshing to have our national leadership reference the resurrection of our Lord, Easter, while addressing our nation and world. God bless you, and thank you, again, for sharing!

today is Lady's Day, feast of the Annunciation, and was the new year's day for everyone in the middle ages, a custom still marked by the beginning of tax years and other financial calendars, when accounts are tied up at the end of March. This can be our new year again, as we pray together, led by the Pope, and wrap the world in prayer. this is a true Lent, with really tough sacrifices. God bless you all in Catholic Moment, and everyone who shares on line. God can turn everything around!
