Hi Steven, you (and the writers of A Catholic Moment) espouse the virtues of humility, openness, reflecting, praying and seeking understanding, and I believe that these are indeed the fruits that Christ spoke about. Thank you for your reflection. I know I’ve heard you and other writers say this same message before, but I also know I need to be reminded about it again and again, so I hope you don’t stop writing. Someone out there (me included) needed to hear those words.

Thank you for your reflection. I’m always concerned about people who change churches to find a “better” preacher. Preachers will come and go and have good days and bad, but the word and the story of Jesus’ time on earth remain the greatest story. Keep up the great work and thank you to all the positive responders!

Dear Steven, I feel what Noreen so skillfully worded is exactly how so many of of us who read Catholic Moment feel. False prophets try to lure you in to what they believe as apposed to allow you to freely read, reflect and help you grow personally. Catholic Moment reflections all of the reflections, I find are tools to stir our own relationship with God. Thank you for your work

Steven, I do understand the manner in which you opened this reflection – it’s who you are and the style of how you think and write. I too, as a couple others commented been a daily reader of a Catholic moment. I know all the writers and their styles. From all that I’ve read, I don’t think any of you are intending to lead us a stray. All of you writers have been helpful in some way or another. I really like those thought provoking reflections. Mary blew me out of the water in her Monday reflection.

PS: I once heard from a priest, speaking about another priest who was a talented speaker, said, “In his homilies he could tell the congregation they are going to hell and have them enjoy the ride”.
