Hey Steven,

My wife and I were talking about the difference between believing and trusting just the other day and today’s first reading and your reflection support our thinking.

Did the Israelites believe in God? Absolutely! Did they trust God? Hmmmm, no. Why? I suppose it’s human nature. So, as much as we’d like to think the human race has progressed over the centuries, we haven’t. Same story, different characters.
