Wednesday, February 4 “He is possessed by Beelzebul,”

Our Blog is inspired by The Holy Spirit.

Memorial of Saints Timothy and Titus, Bishops

The scribes who had come from Jerusalem said of Jesus,

“He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and

“By the prince of demons he drives out demons.”

Summoning them, he began to speak to them in parables,

“How can Satan drive out Satan?

If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

And if a house is divided against itself,

that house will not be able to stand.

And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided,

he cannot stand;

that is the end of him.

But no one can enter a strong man’s house to plunder his property

unless he first ties up the strong man.

Then he can plunder his house.

Amen, I say to you, all sins and all blasphemies

that people utter will be forgiven them.

But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit

will never have forgiveness,

but is guilty of an everlasting sin.”

For they had said, “He has an unclean spirit.”

Emphasis and Underline are mine.  Mark 3:22-30

Once again we are deviating from the day’s readings, because I, yes I, just learned something from Dr. Tim Gray of  The Formed 1/26/25, that we had to pass along

Jesus said, But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never have forgiveness.

The above statement has always concerned me because I didn’t know truly what Jesus was talking about.

Dr. Gray said, and we will put in our own words, that when we give credit to anyone except Jesus then no sign or healing will prove then that Jesus is the Son of God.  The credit goes to the devil, then all signs and works get attributed to the devil.

Jesus further said that good fruit doesn‘t come from a bad tree and bad fruit doesn’t come from a good tree.

As I pray you all know by now, one of the prayers we say every day is “Thank you Father,” and after today I now realize how important this prayer is for me.

In my youth if something good happened I said, “That was lucky”.  I wasn’t giving praise to satan, but I also wasn’t giving praise to God my Father.

Ever since I, we, started thanking God my Father for everything good and bad, (Thank you for the DIFFICULTY) my life changed to our life and I love it.

People have written to us and said they wish they could be where I am now.  Well you can.  I’m eight-five, and have just learned this. You are younger, and if you agree with what we have written, then change now and Thank God the Father for everything that happens in your life, and watch your life change.

Prayer:

If you want to grow in Love, Joy and Peace, this is a result of growth in Patience, Kindness, Generosity, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control.

Sidebar:

In the jail last week one of the men asked an interesting question.

He said, “I am living a life in imitation of Jesus, why do I have to go to church?”

What we didn’t say, just in case this thought goes through your mind, then why are you in jail?

The question though points to what is happening in our society today, people trying to imitate how Jesus lived, but not being active in a church.

Why wouldn’t you want to go to church, and join with others in the worship of God.  We all need all the help we can to fight satan, and being with other like minded people is an easy way to start this process.

As Catholics we have the chance to touch Jesus, God, every time we attend Mass, and let their healing power flow through us.

But,

Most Catholics don’t believe in the healing power of Jesus in  the Eucharist, and this was confirmed in a Pew study taken in August 2019 when seventy percent of Catholics said they didn’t believe Jesus was fully present in the Eucharist, rather they believed the Eucharist was a symbol.

If you believe the Eucharist is a symbol, then no healing can happen for you.  Sad isn’t it.  Jesus is ready and willing to heal you as we have reported in our blogs for over four years, and yet many refuse to truly believe Jesus can really heal them.

We are reading Mountain Beyond Mountains by Tracy Kidder. Tracy said that people have Contradictory Beliefs, such as faith in both medicine and God.

Notice what came first- medicine, not God.

I was the same way for years until I experienced life in The Holy Spirit, and fully realized that life in the Holy Spirit was better than any life I had lived before, and my Father and Brother and The Holy Spirit do take care of me, and this ties in directly to what we wrote about earlier in our blog.

We repeat, Thank the Father every day all of the time. No matter what happens, realize that God is always on your side.  A quick story. A few days ago I fell while walking on the sidewalk, I didn’t see the ice.

I fell forward. Years ago, my two prior falls were backwards, and this time I stopped my fall with my hands.

Yes I thanked God the Father for the fall, laughed, it’s a dumb prayer until you realize that in saying the prayer I ended up smiling, which also indicated to me that The Holy Spirit was working in me.

Checked, yep feet worked, legs ok, fingers worked, wrists were a little sore, I was ok. Another prayer of thanksgiving.

satan said go to quick care to make sure the wrists were ok, we said,”No.”

After I got up a neighbor ran out from his house, God taking care of me,  to make sure I was ok, we told him, “No sense no pain.”  As we continued our walk the thought (Holy Spirit) came to me that falls on the ice I thought were almost always backwards, which I also experienced years ago. This fall I fell forward, and I realized God was taking care of me, and thanked God the Father multiple times (actually I checked Google and forty-four percent of falls on the ice are forward).  I still am glad we thanked God my Father.

Bottom line, I was walking too fast, I assumed the path was ice free, and when I hit the ice I fell forward, with no injury to myself, just a sore wrist, who wouldn’t be thankful?

Or,

Would you curse God for your bad luck?
