Was thinking along the same lines as I read the psalm and first reading this morning, which go together beautifully.
“Give thanks to the LORD, invoke his name;
make known among the nations his deeds.
Sing to him, sing his praise,
proclaim all his wondrous deeds.”
How often do I thank God as the cripple did by going into the temple walking and jumping and praising God? Or dance for the Lord as King David did? As the saying goes, “A sad saint is a sad kind of saint”. So, sing your praise to the Lord! Alleluia!
