Great reflection. Three times in this short gospel Jesus says "Amen Amen" This is the Gospels telling us to wake up and listen. Totally agree that passages should not be singled out and taken out of context. I have read and proclaimed the gospel all my life, but started studying in High School. It was a seminary course and our priest used the King James version of the Bible to prove Catholic theology .Over the years I have continued to study learned as you have mentioned that Jesus message resonates in more than one passage. Thank you

Thanks for your reflections, Steven. I admit that some verses in the Bible is so deep to my understanding. But thanks to some books that explain the Words of God e.g. Words in other Words. It helps me guide to some views to see the message of God for me to act out. I agree with you that we are not define solely by our faith; we need to take action to prepare for the resurrection of our lives. More power to you and your family.
