Your reflection reminds me of a quote from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, “Man must strive, and striving he must err.”

Yeah, we’ll make mistakes along the way, some of them real Duessies, but it is our nature to test, both good and bad. If we didn’t, life would be rather boring, to say the least. The words “what if?” and “I wonder?” are are probably the most dangerous words in the human vocabulary. Yet without them, where would we be? Your point about recognition is key.
