Hey Steven,

Very nice reflection this morning.

Your comment on “trusting God” and “goodwill toward men” reminded me of St. Thomas More. After being sentenced to death, he was thought to have said to the judges, “I verily trust, and shall therefore right heartily pray, that though your lordships have now here in earth been judges to my condemnation, we may yet hereafter in heaven merrily all meet together, to our everlasting salvation.”

I would say from that one sentence, St Thomas More not only understood “the Whole Story”, he lived it.

Thank you for your thoughts. I don’t know if it means anything to others but when I see all those beautiful lights on homes, trees and mantles I think of the light. Those lights to me are the sins He’s forgiven. Before they are lit it is darkness but when the lights of the season come on, Wow, look at all the forgiven sin. Does that make sense?
