Thank you for the insight. At the time I was bringing the Holy Eucharist to 30 people in a Skilled Nursing Facility, I have approached eight priests who have given me enough reasons to abandon this ministry with several excuses about anointing. However, with God’s grace I continued to bring the Holy Eucharist. Out of the 30 only 4 are still around, but due to the pandemic I communicate with them through cards or phone conversation.
Thank you for your insight(s), I can now completely straighten the dents on thoughts affecting my faith. I thank God for the gift of understanding you imparted.

Thank you Steven. It was a beautiful reflection. I have been a parish secretary for over 25 years and had the honor and privilege to work for some wonderful Pastors. Remembering that they are regular people too, has made me admire and love them all the more.

Thanks, Steven. Am struggling with my faith with regard to what’s happening in the Catholic church these days. Your insights gave me a better understanding of the sacrament of Holy Orders. Am truly grateful.

It’s difficult at times to remember that our priests and religious are merely humans like the rest of us, and are living in the same world we are with all its temptations and distractions. Maybe they have additional help from the Holy Spirit…or maybe they don’t. Thanks for reminding us to pray for them. They need assistance perhaps more than many of us! Lord Jesus, be with your appointed and anointed leaders, Amen.
