Hello Steve.

I agree with Leslie Judd that the reflection does cut to the bone as well as prick the conscience.

The way the world views “professionalism” at the work place now isn’t helping matters. A lot more times than not, one is expected to push back every other aspect of one’s life (including religion) so as to ensure productivity at work remains sacrosanct.

Sometimes we need to take a step back, get a bird’s-eye view of the physical and spiritual landscapes of our lives in order to put things in perspective.

Your reflection has done that beautifully.

There are quite a few things that God has put on my heart to do: go to our Adoration Chapel at least 1x/week, daily Rosary and go to mass at least 1-2x during the week. Procrastination is what I struggle with the most in my life right now as well as knowing how to prioritize things on my “To Do” list. Alot of times, my inaction results in more stress and anxiety as things start to pile up around me. This reflection has given me hope, Steven. It has helped me to recognize & acknowledge my weaknesses which is the first step toward change. Thank you!

Hey Steven,

Urgency? Maybe. But in my opinion, no.

What is Jesus doing? Jesus telling us what it is like to be a disciple of His. You will have no home, your traditions and obligations get thrown out the window and your family will not be the most important thing in your life. He is saying one must focus on the job at hand; everything else, even things that are precious, is a roadblock.

Sound harsh? Not really. Just ask any soldier, especially one who has fought in a war.
