This is an excellent reflection. I like the way you separate top of the line and bottom of the line adherence to God’s word and his laws.
It helps me to put in perspective what steps should be taken to avoid sins to which I am most vulnerable and to enhance the higher values by being more open to attempting works that extend beyond my comfort zones but that are very pleasing to God…

Thank you for your reflection on the gospel. As I was reading it and rereading the Psalms, I pictured myself holding on to Jesus’ hand…walking along the daily path…together. I will try to keep that image in my head all day, everyday. Thank you!

Bob, easier said than done at times. Sins of the flesh are very real and Satan is a very powerful, cunning fallen angle of God.
Well, not that he has power over us (though sometimes it feels that way) but he sure knows how to lure the best of us.
Thank you for the reminder. Eye candy is all over the place. Internet, magazines, stores, and even in church.
I just pray not to be heavily tested.
