I am a firm believer that the problems of this world will not be solved by governments but by Christians, working as a community of the faithful in carrying out the mission of the Church. Government programs, as well intentioned as they are, will seldom (if ever) fill the need of the world for God’s love.

You certainly raised many challenging questions, which often we try to ignore or just give up as we seem helpless to do anything at what seems like just such an enormous task.
