Hey John,

In the Book of Ecclesiastes, does God speak? Unlike the Book of Job, the answer is "no".

One would wonder why then Ecclesiastes is included in the Bible? I would guess it is because of the questions that are asked. These questions point to one of man's greatest weakness - doubt.

Which is what the rest of the Bible elivates.

Mark

PS Nothing against Mother Theresa, Hedy Lamarr was more than just a pretty face.

So very humbling and thought provoking, thank you for a wonderful message! Thanks Noel for such peaceful words! I attended an event at my local planetarium- I found it very humbling when the scientist told us that the earth (let alone each of us) is but a grain of rice on a football field that represents the universe! May we ALWAYS keep our focus on God and what He asks of us!

Inspiring message. We toil day after day to achieve success. We spend today worrying about tomorrow. Soon we are old and realise, it is a life lived without meaning. A life chasing after wind.

Our Father who are in heaven give us our daily bread so that we may live today without worrying about tomorrow. Teach to live as the birds of the air. They do not labour but are satisfied and sing joyful songs daily. Teach us to count our blessings so that we can trust you with our futre. We cast our burdens unto you Jesus for you are gentle and your load is lighter.

Amen

Thank you helping keep perspective on the long picture! It is more than a bit humbling to see what a small drop of water, grain of sand each of us can be yet to see others who truly influence the world and its people. Christ gives us opportunity and we need to be aware of that and act accordingly. Keep writing!
