Thank you Laura, for what you have done bringing the word of God closer to us and helping us grow in our faith through all the Catholic Moment writers. That audacious step you took to found Catholic Moment has brought a lot of consolations into my live, I suppose to other readers' lives, too. As always, you never fail to speak directly to my heart with your well-worded and spiritually inspired reflection. I pray this words remain in us and steer me into action. For Mary, God will help her rise above the valley she is in now to the mountain top. She is in my thought and prayers. Let her remain steadfast in her faith.

Thank you Laura for your inspirational reflection that has inspired and strengthened my faith further. You raised so many points in this reflection like persistence in prayer, thanksgiving for unanswered prayers, the need to love, honour and serve God,and actual grace which all keyed to my understanding and belief in the 'faith journey.' I have not always believed in the use of material possessions and prosperity to measure God's love and faithfulness;if they come, fine and if they don't,so be it.As for God answering prayers,He does.I have had so many moments of helplessness and hopelessness in my life that, out of the blue, some help or relief emerged.
Thank you also for bringing to our knowledge the situation of Mary.Ever since her absence on the 'a catholic moment,'I have been suspicious.Initially I thought she went on a course or research, until one fateful Wednesday,October 3,2018 that she commented on Steven March's reflection, and said something about lightening strike and fire. That really confirmed my suspicion but I still didn't wan't to be speculative.Sometimes I wonder why bad things happen to beautiful and good people like Mary.I suspect it's all part of the JOURNEY OF FAITH-never always a smooth ride.I pray that God will comfort and strengthen her and her family in the recent condition. And that she is going to come out if it a better, happier, stronger and more faithful person.Have a nice and blessed day!

I spoke with Mary earlier today and she has received such an outpouring of support from her parish and local community. Along with her insurance, she expects that she will be able to put her household back together soon. Thank you for your kindness and willingness to help her though. It shows that you care about Mary, even if it is through the internet. Your comments are a beautiful testimony as to how she has touched your life!

Didn't someone famous named James, said: show me your faith, and I'll show you my works? Well, let's show our faith by donating to a "gofundme fund"; set by somebody in "acatholic.org" for our dear Mary.
That would be a great complement to our prayers and well wishers. Don't you think?
I'm willing and ready to cooperate.

I am deeply touched with your comments today. Thank you, Laura (and others), for subbing for me. Yes, this is a Job time for me, but also a time rich in Grace and love from many people. I am OK, coping, and surrounded by the caring of family, parish, and community. They are taking care of practical needs. Nonetheless, I need, welcome, and treasure your prayers and expressions of caring. I will return to writing for A Catholic Moment as soon as there is a bit of order in my life. Meanwhile, I treasure your prayers.
