I told you then that there is a season to focus on sin and repentance. It’s called Lent. Amazingly, you had just gone through it before Easter, and it’s like you had missed the point.

It’s Lent again. Please focus on your sins and repent to your heart’s content. You can even wallow in stereotypical guilt, if it makes you happy (or sad, whatever you need). Get it out of your system, so that when it finally is Easter, you can rejoice with the rest of us, instead of trying to temper our joy and celebration. Yes, Easter is gloriously long, and so is Lent. But Easter is longer than Lent for a reason. Let’s be joyful!
