Thanks, Laura for sharing.
I like the fact that ''James loved Jesus enough to give his own life for him''
It is traditionally held that James the Greater happened to be the first of the Apostles martyred for his faith. Yes, perhaps his life's trip was of shortcomings but remember " all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.'' (Romans 3:23-24)

God listens and answers our prayers, but we,re obliged to first meet what He wants us to do for Him. Today reflection and gospel drive me hopeful; as their request didn't go unanswered at the end. Much thank, Laura Kazlas, for sharing with us this spiritual insight.

Thanks a lot Laura for sharing be with us your insight into today's readings
Personally it amuses me to think of the mother of James and John personally going to request that her two sons be put..one on the left and one on the right hand of Jesus! Quite human and natural for us mother's to want the best for our children.but a start reminder that things can't come easily to them just like that even though we wish for them the best. They must be ready to drink the cup
May we continue searching our souls each day to find out if we are ready to drink his cup daily
God bless you
