Dan, thank you for that lead in. I read the readings and Gospel before I read the reflections and I was hoping you would address this "We are observing one of the few times of the year when it seems the world tries to get along – Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Atheist, Agnostic, Secularist … you name it, during this season, we all try to find and celebrate the common denominators of how our faiths are applied in this world."
I also read about Pope Francis telling the apologetics to let up a bit.
It drives me crazy praying that the world be on big "kumbaya". I don't see it happening until after the second coming of Christ. Jesus himself states this in several of the Gospels.
Lord have mercy on my soul for not understanding.
