In Thessalonians 5:11 St. Paul says something similar “Encourage one another, and build up one another’. During Advent and Lent we are more likely to do this because we wait in joyful hope of Christmas and Easter. When ordinary time begins, it’s sort of like we’ve been on a lovely vacation and now we have to go back to work! ?. If we put together the key phrase from Hebrews and Thessalonians, encouraging ourselves and each other ‘daily’, one day at a time Ordinary time can be a period of fruitfulness. Back to work is, can be, should be a time for us to build each other up.
