Marta M…As I understood from a sermon years ago, the “children” are the people of Israel, the Jews. They are being fed the Word of God. They are gaining sustenance from it. The dogs are the Gentiles. They are recovering bits and pieces of the Word, and even they are getting some nourishment from it. Later Jesus includes the Gentiles into the Kingdom…All of us!!
