My perspective on the scandals is that the church is being purged and purified. Sometimes the sca dals shock us but we are comforted by God’s promises. So we will not let our faith and hope be distracted by these events. God is still in charge and his plan continues to unfold. Today’s first reading is a good example of God turning around evil for good. Dr.Analise your reflections are always greatly appreciated. May God grant you success in your exams.

Jesus himself chose 12 to found his Church. One was a thief and betrayed him for money, two were mostly concerned with their own career advancements, and the leader denied knowing him when he was arrested. And all except one ran away when he was dying. Yet this unlikely bunch later bravely spread the Word to most of the known world.
