Thanks Analise for your reflection. I can only imagine how hectic or stressful your normal day would be. But, I also know you’re very prayerful and faithful. And, I’m sure you’re not alone. Hope you find peace and joy in everything you do…despite the pressures or challenges they may bring. Let us not forget the surrender prayer…to surrender ourselves (and everything) to the Lord and ask Him to take care of everything.

I’m a retired Preschool Teacher who loved her job and after 32 yrs of working was forced to retire because of Covid and some health issues. I struggle constantly with what is my purpose in life now. Thank You for your reflection it helped to enlighten me. God Bless! ❣️🕊️

I just read this paragraph in the Catechism that I think applies to what you are speaking about today, Analise:

1877 The vocation of humanity is to show forth the image of God and to be transformed into the image of the Father’s only Son. This vocation takes a personal form since each of us is called to enter into the divine beatitude; it also concerns the human community as a whole.

You hit the nail on the head. I think many of us feel our identity or worth comes from a title or position. As you mention if we love God and love our neighbor as a first priority other things will fall into place. Not easy to do but it is the way.
