Hello Analise. As always, thanks for taking the time to write your reflection. Taking time to “go to your inner room” to pray, giving your full attention to God is important for our lives in Christ. But I believe conversing with our Lord throughout the day via “rinky-dink” prayer (i.e. Jesus, please help me get to church on time) is fruitful too. I also like to “give God a nod” at times, thanking Him for an unexpected grace or blessing. I believe that staying in contact with God, keeps us close to God.

Your reflections are often ‘reflective’ of my own admissions…not taking the time to pray and honor God as I should. We need to stop, breathe, and give thanks throughout our days-because, even in the midst of our crazy busy lives, we have so very much for which to be thankful.

Thank you Analise for the reminder to take time and spend it in prayer! Being a retiree I have no excuse. It catches up with me when I realize I’m lacking in my prayer time. It’s like someone is tapping me on the back and waking me up and saying “I’m with you never forget!” Carry on! 🙏🏼

Analise, Thank you for your raw and barebones admission of being ‘too busy’! I’m fortunate enough to be retired now, but when I was working… Making it to Sun. Mass seamed hard enough sometimes. I often tell myself, “If only I knew then what I know now, things would’ve been different. Alas, the world continues to be busier and more worrisome. WE NEED to pray!! Just stop, wherever we are, whenever we are and pray. God IS listening. May God’s love be yours.
