As a volunteer firefighter, I occasionally missed Mass because of being called to duty. God understands this and is grateful for the assistance we lend to others in need. Intentionally missing Mass is sinful, but missing it to answer someone’s plea for help isn’t. Analise, be at peace with yourself over those times that you miss Mass because you are doing God’s work for His people.

Dear Analise,
I use to sometimes leave mass after communion as a younger man. What is such an emergency that couldn’t wait 5 more minutes or until the final blessing?
I’m going to tell Mom and Dad! Perhaps they’ll put a stop to that. lol
To many times in my life I felt satan go into me and after he’s done with me I feel remorseful. Or perhaps say, I’m weak to the flesh.
satan is powerful and is real. I would say “never underestimate him without God’s intervention on your behalf”.
