Thank you Mary for giving us some of the solid principles and practices of EDUCATION. New knowledge is better assimilated when simplified FROM THE KNOWN TO THE UNKNOWN. My Anlo ethnic group have a proverb that you weave a new rope by using the old rope to start with. That is also Christianity. Paul employs this technique by following the example of JESUS.
