I am sending this to my wonderful teacher daughter who struggles with the callousness of some of her colleagues & competitiveness in a profession (education) that you would think would not harbor these characteristics. Your writing& especially the prayer has touched me as a former educator & will her, too, I’m sure. Thank you

Wonderful reflection. I have been reading these reflections after the daily Mass readings for some time. This is my first comment/post. I too Analise struggle with work anxiety , stubborn, and perfectionism as a fellow healthcare provider. Much pressure and stress and oversight of vendors that creates unhappiness on a daily basis. When I go for my daily exercise today before the 12hour day begins, I will reach out to our Savior first to help find solutions. Bless you

Oh Analise, you write from the heart! I can relate to your feelings of frustration, especially since I too am in the medical field. I love helping people get better and especially since Covid came. I came out of retirement and was blessed with a position by contract to a place 5000 KM from my home. It was near the town where my 92 yr old father lives and also a sister who is diagnosed with terminal cancer. It was a blessing from God so I could travel and see them!
However, my husband is developing some concerning symptoms of cognitive decline and I feel that this blessing of accepting contracts away from home may be affected in the future. I struggle with allowing my Lord to lead me and to trust him fully to do what is best for everyone involved. I need to learn how to surrender and I am having a difficult time with that. I am surrounded by loving family who will help me through this as God shows me the right path. Blessings to you and I hope what frustrated you this week will pass.
