What is amazing to me and that I struggle with regularly with my self-centered and selfish tendencies is the apostles give all credit and glory to Jesus as did Jesus give all credit and glory to our Heavenly Father. The apostles were not like this prior to the Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit, please open my mind to Holy Scripture.

Hey Mary,

You statement, “That God would come to earth to become one of us in order to lead us back to God has been a source of gratitude and commitment since early adulthood” is good. Seems logical, makes sense.

But I like what St. Athanasius said better, “For the Son of God became man so the we might become God.” Divinisation, now we are talking Easter, now we are talking Heaven.

Thank you Mary for the great message. Indeed Heaven starts now!
I always imagine that the earth is supposed to be a reflection of heaven. Earth is like a a jigsaw puzzel which has to be assembled by each one of us with the help of the Holy Spirit and the angels. We all have a part of the picture which we need to join to our neighbours through good works. Once complete it sure will have a complete picture of heaven.

May the light of the Risen Christ shine in our lives and in everything we do so that we can become His true witnesses! God Bless

Happy Easter Mary! I attended a retreat from Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday and observed other Church rites the rest of the Holy week. Your Easter reflection brought me back to the retreat meditations we had. The resolutions that I pray I can keep and live as you said, Easter begins now. Thanks for your reflection.It made me go back and reflect on what is easter to me.Before easter, i refrained from social media, i fasted and abstained but after easter i am back to the same old me again.now because of your message I need to reflect on this..Thanks and i hope i would be able to find a copy of that book you mentioned.Happy easter!
