This was exactly what I needed to hear today – thank you! Especially the part about Mother Theresa not ever speaking harsh words to those in her religious order and her quote: “maybe sometime when you found obedience difficult, you thought Mother was hard on you. It was not I; it was you who were hard on yourself for not accepting to obey.” This is true wisdom. As a parent of teens, I constantly have to watch my tone and word choice as I guide and correct them. My buttons are easily pushed when I feel disrespected – so many prayers are offered up to the Holy Spirit to help me when I know I have a difficult conversation that must be had with someone.

There are many times that I think of Mother Teresa , when I don’t feel the spirit talking . it reminds me that she had times when she felt the silence , it never kept her from doingGods work. She always felt loved and and was loving to all those in her care.

Thanks Mary for this very inspiring reflection. With the help of the Holy Spirit we as Christians will be able to tell the truth because if we say and do what pleases our colleagues whether at work or at the villages what difference is there between us and them? We shall all be agents of the evil one. So let us tell the truth and in a better way not in a condemning way

Thank you Mary for this reflection. It is becoming increasingly difficult to steadfastly be an advocate of the Truth,but then again,Jesus warned us that the world will hate us.May God grant us the courage to speak the Truth,irrespective of the backlash we are likely to receive from society,Amen.
