ANalise, thank you for your thoughts. The Netflix documentary sounds interesting, however, we dumped Netflix after the “Cuties” series, which is nothing short of disgusting. As many know, we may not be as powerful as big conglomerates, but we do have the power to affect change with how we choose to spend our money.

I love your reflection today Analise-I laughed out loud at your mention of cat videos.I know I find myself scrolling through social media,clicking on an unimportant news items or watching a mindless video clip.
As you say, distraction is everywhere.Not always a bad thing but let us not let it pull us away from what’s most important.I pray that I may keep my focus on what really matters.Jesus is the best distraction from modern day stresses.

Very well written and I agree with most of what you’re saying. The only thing I disagree with is we don’t need drama in our life – at least in additional drama we already have.

Great reflection I love that you commented about your Christian Life seminar, it reminds me of the young adult group I am a part of. I go to a community college and we do not have campus ministry so a friend of mine started this group called Quo Vadis, which means were are you going for young adults ages 18-30. It is a really great group that has given me a real community throughout my college years and, as you said in your reflection we help each other seek out the Lord and grow in our faith.

Love the way you relate your faith to your everyday living experiences in Goa!
Watched the documentary too on Netflix and have been talking about it to my friends – trying to help them think about their social media use. We need to constantly ask God to strengthen our faith and keep us focused on the prize – eternal life with Jesus!
