I remember when I started working as a nurse in childbirth listening to a baby’s heartbeat after delivery. We would assess for abnormalities like a heart murmur. At first I couldn’t hear them. After listening to many babies heart beats I became quite good at finding the heart murmur. I guess it is the same with faith and trust. The more we practice the better we become at following his path. I enjoy reading your reflections. They speak right to my heart.

I loved your analogy….. and the fact that you practiced so hard to learn to hear the heartbeat that now you trust yourself more than a machine. Your patients are blessed to have you!
