Annalise, your reflections are always so insightful and I love the stories of your very Catholic upbringing as I myself share similar experiences growing up in a large very Catholic family.

Thank you Doc. Analise,
I'm amazed at your ability to learn.
I can't imagine me being bilingual let alone an OBGYN.
It seems to me that many intelligent people (especially in sciences) are not very smart when it comes to a faith life.
You have been blessed with both.
I much appreciate you and all the CM writer's.

A lovely reflection Analise.I love hearing some of your childhood memories and how they in some small way,not apparent at the time, made you the person you are today.
I needed the reminder today, that it’s the small gestures that count.God Bless you.

It is the little things that can make a huge difference in someone’s life… A small act of kindness or caring, a smile, a touch. We never know what kind of load someone else is carrying, and we can lighten it, if only for a brief moment. (I was in a teaching hospital almost 40 years ago as a young person and it was such a horrible experience being examined and talked about by the doctor and students all in my room. One young woman heard my book fall off my bed as everyone was going out the door and she came back, picked it up, and chatted with me briefly. She made me feel human again. I have not forgotten that.)
