Sometimes at the grocery store when I pay I ask for $20 cash back. Then I give it to the clerk and ask them to pass it on to the next customer. Hopefully sometimes it finds its way to a needy customer. It’s fun being sneaky in that way!

You make a good point of what are people’s reasons for doing good. Is it for the good of the recipient or to glorify the giver for his good deed? As Jesus said, if it’s to show off, that person already got his reward.

Thank you for this reflection. I am moved by the instant miraculous healing in the gospel of today. And I believe that such miracles still happens.

May the good Lord give us ours today like he did to the man with Leprosy.
