Mary, by far one of the best reflections you have written that spoke to me. Be honest, did you write this? Just kidding. ;-).
I have difficulty with compassion. “Who pities a snake charmer when he is biten”? Book of Sirach.
Also puts me to mind the classic Jack Nicholson line from a few good men. “You want the truth? You can’t handle the truth”.
Anyway Mary, thank you again. You struck a cord with me today and much to reflect on the rest of this day and perhaps longer.
