Annalise,
I think that most of the time 2000 years ago ate because they were hungry not for comfort.
Better watch that waist line.
Having meals together has changed over the years.
For one thing – family size, and sharing memories around the table for an hour or so.
Now days what has taken hours to plan and prepare is devoured in 15 minutes and family scatter – not even helping with cleanup.
Oh how nice it would have been to be reclined at that table with Jesus and having our minds opened up to scripture.
