“Stop judging, and you will not be judged.
Stop condemning, and you will not be condemned.
Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
Give and gifts will be given to you;
a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing,
will be poured into your lap.
For the measure with which you measure
will in return be measured out to you.
In 2011, I was in 7th grade and sick with a fever with no apparent cause. I was missing school; Mom was tending to me as I lay in the bed, unable to eat or move much. Then we switched on the television to witness the horrific terror attacks in the USA. I clearly remember watching it and thinking — what did those people think when they knew they would die?!
I would call my mom and dad to tell them– I love them. I would probably pray hard so I can get some grace to go to heaven… and I would just be sad I won’t be with my parents.
Life is finite. We are mortal. A fact we often forget when we live on a daily basis. We fight over petty issues. Make so many animosities – right now I have decided to hold my peace. I dont hate anyone– I just dont feel the need to respond to anyone about anything.
Lets just focus on the present as the past cannot be changed and the future is not in our hands – lets be better humans and slowly learn to focus on making every moment important and good.
So when I get upset about anything or anyone – I chose not to respond to it – no reaction and focus on being better humans. I have started placing myself in their shoes and then reacting to the situation!
This month is the birthday of our heavenly mother – let us focus on being like her children!
AMEN
P.S It has been a busy week with wedding festivities at home and watching my brother receive the sacrament of marriage !
