"We take comfort in being those “misfits” who are of infinite value to God." I wouldn't have truly understood these words without your explanation. I've always been happy with my natural response to go against popular choice. Not out of a rebellious attitude but because I just don't buy into the newest, often passing, trends. The Holy Spirit leads me to the underdog position and to the relationships demanded by the Beatitudes. My sin is in taking the easy way, the popular way. I'm ever so grateful for our Lord's mercy. I see that mercy when I'm entrusted with another dilemma. When I choose our Lord's way I feel comfort in again being a part of the remnant. Bob, you have blessed us with your mighty and yet simple reflection! Again.

Thanks Bob for the reflection on Gods mercy which shows Gods love for us. It does not matter where we are coming from but He is ready to forgive us and take us back in His fold. He is the true shepherd who does not work for a pay but works in His free will to protect us
God bless you Bob and keep it up

Thank you Bob for the wonderful reflection. The mercy, the love, the acceptance of Gods great love for us is mind boggling. Very humbling. I count my blessings every day as I am a remnant looking for a home. May God Bless.

When I sin, I make excuses (cut me some slack, I deserve this one time) and point fingers (I am like this because my genetic tendencies dictate so, etc etc) to justify my actions. What I fail to realize is I simply have to humble myself, acknowledge my weaknesses, accept my frailties and ask our God of Mercy for forgiveness.

"God, as a loving parent, does not like being angry. His delight is to show mercy. But if there is no one docile enough to receive his mercy, he must continue to use the “rod” in whatever form that takes. He waits to find a people who is open to have him remove their guilt and drink in his clemency. "
