Many times in my adult life I’ve felt like the tax collector (looking down, beating my chest)but never felt justified. I’m guessing it’s a good thing that I don’t feel justified.

I’m divorced, have a gay child who I do NOT believe in my heart lives in sin, and even though I pray every day for an end to abortion there are circumstances that may happen where I struggle. I have a friend who left the church as she felt “not perfect” as a divorced person. Personally I have trouble with the “Christian” belief regarding same sex marriage – if 2 people love each other who are we to judge or put restrictions. This Lent and every day forward let us rebuild the city of Jerusalem like the psalm says – let us focus on living and helping each other. Thanks for the beautiful reflection ❤️
